In partnership with the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA), DiverseCity onBoard, part of The G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education at Ryerson University, will be delivering governance training to human resources professional across Canada. With more than 23,000 member registrants, HRPA advances the professionalization of HR and acknowledgment of the profession as a key driver of organizational success.
“Today’s workforce has become more diverse than ever before, particularly in Canadian organizations. We now see so many different identities, ages, genders, orientations, ethnicities, and opinions in our workplaces, and in our communities. Human Resources professionals are especially mindful of the immeasurable value of these diverse perspectives. We know how important it is to build diverse, inclusive organizations – and we’ve seen the statistics indicate, time and time again, that diversity has a significant positive impact on the bottom line. But there’s still a critical gap that needs to be addressed. Many of these diverse identities simply aren’t represented at the top of organizations, including at the board level. That’s why the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) is proud to collaborate with DiverseCity onBoard to bring educational opportunities around building diverse boards. In learning about effective leadership for modern governance, learners will gain the invaluable strategic knowledge they need to help boards succeed and reflect the communities they serve.”
