#MeToo and Governance: The Role of the Board
The #MeToo movement has exposed the prevalence of workplace sexual harassment and assault, prompting a surge of cases that have spanned all sectors and industries. It has revealed a reality within many workplaces that current approaches in addressing allegations of harassment and assault are often limited, ineffective, or nonexistent. What are the conditions that have led to this? Where does the board’s accountability lie? What are the roles and responsibilities of the board in fostering a respectful and harassment-free workplace?
Join us on May 11th for a conversation between Rahul Bhardwaj, President and Chief Executive Officer of Institute of Corporate Directors, Leanne Nicolle, President and CEO at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Toronto, and Chris MacDonald, Director, Ted Rogers Leadership Centre, on the role of governance and the board in workplace and board issues.
